About me

I'm a poet, editor and writer based in North London. My work has appeared in many small poetry magazines and anthologies both in Great Britain and in the USA, and has been broadcast on local radio. I have published two collections, “The Midnight Circus” in 1991 from Envoi Poets Press, and "Trout Rising" in 2013 from FeedARead Publishing. I was a contributor to both “The Trout…Minus One” and "Rainbow Trout" (see below). I've read at the Hastings International Poetry Festival, the Essex Poetry Festival, South 40 launch and at open-mic events around London.

I was one of the founder members of the Trout Poets, a group of friends who came together to publish and perform our poetry. We launched in 1993 with the publication of our inaugural pamphlet “The Trout…Minus One”. In 2003 we published a second collection “Rainbow Trout”. I was editor of “The Arcadian” poetry magazine until 2007, and now edit "wavelengths" the magazine of the Soc. of Civil & Public Service Writers Poetry Workshop.

Individual poems have appeared in: Envoi, Weyfarers, Purple Patch, Iota, Candelabrum, Poetry Monthly, The Dawntreader, Sarasvarti, Decanto, South, Poetic Licence, Dandelion Arts Magazine, First Time, The Arcadian, Springboard, CS Author, Focus, Waves, Envoi Spring Anthology 1999, Envoi Summer Anthology 1989, The Sandburg-Livesay Award Anthology 1997 (USA), and have been broadcast on Celtica Radio. My poems in collaboration with The Trout Poets have appeared in Envoi, The Dawntreader, Dandelion Arts Magazine and First Time.

I am available for readings.
